POLL: TODD GLORIA LEADS SAN DIEGO MAYOR’S RACE BY 15 POINTS
Survey Finds Gloria Maintains Significant Lead, Opponent Has Gained Little Ground Since Primary
SAN DIEGO, CA – California State Assemblymember Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) is still the odds-on favorite to be San Diego’s next Mayor based on a recent poll of likely San Diego voters. The poll, conducted last month by Strategies 360, shows Gloria maintaining a 15-percentage point lead over his opponent, demonstrating that Bry has gained virtually no ground since the March Primary.
“I’m honored that San Diegans continue to believe in me and our campaign’s vision of building a better San Diego for all of us,” said Assemblymember Gloria. “We aren’t taking any vote for granted. With just 89 days left until Election Day, we are going to be working hard to connect with residents in every neighborhood and earn every vote.”
A memo from Strategies 360 detailing the poll results and methodology can be accessed here.
Todd Gloria, the son of a maid and a gardener, is a former San Diego City Councilmember, City Council President, and Interim Mayor. He serves as the California State Assemblymember for the 78th District and is the Majority Whip of the State Assembly. If elected San Diego’s Mayor, Todd will be the first person-of-color and the first LGBT person elected Mayor in city history.
