Brown, who served as California’s Governor from 1975-1983 and then again from 2011-2019, praised Assemblymember Gloria for his experience and leadership in San Diego.
“As a former Governor and mayor of a big city, I know how important it is to have experienced leaders who aren’t afraid to do the right thing,” said former Governor Jerry Brown. “Todd Gloria will be that kind of leader for San Diego.”
Former Governor Brown also previously served as the Mayor of Oakland from 1999-2007. He is widely recognized for bringing back California’s economy following the Great Recession.
